On Friday September 28, 2012 my brother Matthew Donovan Passed away at the age of 37.
He simply went to sleep. Sometime in the night, his grandmother came to help him find his way home to God.
He struggled with illness for many years. Through it all, he never lost his faith. He would often tell people god wouldn't let anything bad happen to him, no matter how bad it got.
During his struggles, he seemed to loose that mischevious smile and twinkle in his eyes. I am sure they are back now, and can't wait for the day I get to see them again for myself.
He never married, or had children, but loved family more than anything. He adored his two godsons, Ryan and Matthew.
Those of us left behind to grieve cry for us, but take comfort in the knowledge that he is no longer struggling with illness, and is with Grandma, Dad, and many other family members that we have lost in his short lifetime.
